False ceilings

Here are some photos to show the "backbone" of the false ceiling in the living room.

We would have 1 main lighting in the center with 4 led lights around the "border". It would be more cost efficient to switch on just 1 main light most of the time instead of all the lights! To achieve this, the main lighting must be very strong, so do pick a good one.

Led lights are quite expensive too. We bought ours at $50 each, 50% more expensive compared to a normal plc light.

So what's the difference between these 2 types of lights? The shops we visited told us that the led lights and the normal plc lights lifespan is the same at around 2 years, after which they would need to be changed due to wear and tear. The cost of changing the led bulb then would be $28 each while the plc bulb would just cost $8 each. Led lights are usually recommended  as they are more energy efficient hence helps save on electricity bills and are brighter too. So if you plan to switch on your lights most of the time, led would be a better option in the long run. If not, I guess plc would work just as well. :)
